About this policy
This Privacy Policy describes what data Nami collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to be specific and honest.
In short: we collect what we need to provide the app and your account. We do not sell your data. You can delete your account and data at any time.
1. Data we collect
Account information: the email address and (optional) display name you provide at sign-up. Your password is never stored in plain text — we use our authentication provider's secure hashing.
Walking session history: the timestamp and duration of each completed session, associated with your account when you are signed in. If you use Nami without an account, this data is stored only on your device.
Preferences: your settings (sound, haptics, dark mode, weekly goal). Stored on your device.
Technical information: basic diagnostic data needed to keep the app working, such as device platform and OS version. We do not collect a persistent advertising identifier.
2. How we use your data
To provide the app: showing your session history, syncing data across your devices, processing your Nami Plus unlock.
To improve the app: looking at aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns to decide what to build next.
To respond to you: if you contact us for support, we use the information you provide to help.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.
3. Service providers
We use Supabase to store account data and session history. Supabase processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments.
Payments are handled by the platform store you bought from (Apple). We do not see your payment details.
4. Where data is stored
Account and session data is stored on Supabase's servers, which may be located outside your country. Settings and unsynced session history live on your device only.
5. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as you have an active account. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our servers within a reasonable period. Backup copies may persist for a short time afterwards.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU under GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can manage most of this from the app; for anything else, contact us.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children
Nami is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone in that age range. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us so we can remove the data.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy meaningfully, we will notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
